About the Park Bench Program
The Long Island Volunteer Hall of Fame offers a unique opportunity to honor outstanding volunteers and community members through our commemorative park bench program.
Dedicated benches are placed in public parks and community spaces across Long Island, serving as lasting tributes to the individuals they honor and as reminders of the spirit of volunteerism that makes our community special.
Each bench features a commemorative plaque with the honoree's name and a brief dedication. The bench becomes a permanent fixture in the community — a place for reflection, rest, and remembrance.
How to Dedicate a Bench
Choose Your Honoree
Select the volunteer or community member you wish to honor. Bench dedications can be made in honor of living individuals or in memory of those who have passed.
